The Actinic Knowledge Base includes a great solution for creating thumbnail versions of your product images. The walk-through instructions can be found at: Can I autmatically resize my product images?
This works beautifully BUT each time you click onto a new section in Actinic or undertake a site upload the PHP script creates your thumbnails each and every time... leading to huge delays in generating the pages and in uploading the thumbnail images.
I needed a way to check if the thumbnail existed already... if it does Actinic should use that copy and not create it again. If the thumbnail is missing (you have added a new product for example) the script should create it as usual.
The text file php_snippet.txt solves this and prevents the thumbnails being created over and over:
Simply copy the contents of the above into the "Thumbnail Product Image" as created via the Knowledge Base and save yourself valuable time during site upload.
Tested in v9. Should work in v8 also.
I can honestly say that I've never received such good and honest service from any design company prior to using Bikster.
